Econet extends Beyond The Phone Expo

Econet has made arrangements to make Saturday 17 October a family day filled with fun – jumping castles, water slides, pop corn and candy floss for the kids.

ECONET Wireless Zimbabwe has extended its inaugural Expo to Saturday 17 October 2015 which will be family friendly event to cater for all age categories in response to public demand.

The Expo, which exploded into life on Monday October 12 at Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) was set to end on Wednesday October 13.

The event,running under the theme “Beyond the Phone”has attracted business executives, college students, school children, Econet clients and the general public running to several thousands.
“We thank our customers and the public at large for the confidence that they have shown in our brands as demonstrated by the huge turnout we have experienced since Monday. Indeed we have listened to their requesttoadd more days to accommodate those who were not able to make it during the 3 day event due to various commitments,” said Douglas Mboweni, the chief executive officer.
Products being showcased at the Expo include EcoCash – Tap & Go, Econet Connected Home, Mobile Wi-Fi, Technites, Econet Connected Car, EcoHealth – Connected Health and Steward Bank – Agent Banking. Econet’s key subsidiaries and associates Liquid Telecom and ZOL are also exhibiting at the event.
“We have observed high traffic at the Connected Health stand where people are getting free health checks, Ecocash, Steward Bank and Econet Broadband stands among other stands. As a bonus to Expo attendees, we have opened a free WIFI facility for the duration of the event ” added Mboweni.
According to Mboweni, Econet has made arrangements to make Saturday 17 October a family day filled with fun – jumping castles, water slides, pop corn and candy floss for the kids.

“Econet has put in place adequate arrangements to make sure that enough giveaways and prizes will be available to accommodate for more days and numbers expected. Most importantly we believe the extension of days will help us reach a wider market in terms of showcasing of our products. So we invite the public to take advantage of this extension to come and experience the future with Econet ,” said Mboweni.
